final cut capture

this is a caption of our finished final cut project.

You can see that there are lots of fades and timelines. This shows the complexity of our project. It made it hard to handle and edit. The music was fairly simple though.

S2 58 feedback

WE loved the use of the face in the dark background with a light on the scary face it was extremely affective and reminded us of well known films. We also liked the use of the blood moving effect when the titles where playing this helped keep us interested and confused as to why there was blood. The use of sound was awsome very affective.Very well done good thriller!!!

Feedback from group

We've completed our project and have recieved much feedback from the group.
Here is some of the feedback from the group:

• Very professional; good editing, need to slow the titles down
• People recognized the sub genre to be horror
• What happens next? Death? Murder? A psychopath?
• Music - very creepy, eerie
• Editing - the flickers are good and create tension
• Kept the cuts short and didn't overuse shots
• Close-ups of Matt were cool
• dulled colours were good, good slow motion effects
• Titles were not long enough on thw screen
• good camera angles, variety.
• Very scary!
• Isn't narrative so doesn't give away the plot of the film

Generally, the feedback was good from the group, only a few comments where we could have improved. So we are happy :)

Evaluation of Rough Cut

Even though our rough cut was no where near what we wanted it to be, it still received some positive comments from the rest of the group. We felt that the rough cut needed more titles, we only managed to put one title on in time, we will probably also improve the font and positioning of the titles too. The clips were also not in the correct order, we rushed to put them into an order and it wasnt right. It also needed more editing and effects put on it. The music wasn't the music we wanted to use but we didn't have much time to find the exact music we wanted to use. We will also make it longer.
